The artwork is signed by G. E. Ducasse in the lower left and inscribed along the lowered edge: " Vendeuses De Fruits Et Legumes." It is an oil on board and dated 1980. It is from Myriam F. Nader's Collection. Gervais Emmanuel Ducasse was considered the most genuine of the Haitian primitive painters. He was a charming and submissive painter
